Welcome to the heart of Linden's literacy movement! Our annual Community Read-a-Thon is more than just an event; it's a celebration of families reading together, celebrating increased literacy scores, and a powerful gathering of neighbors, local organizations, and businesses. Discover how reading together strengthens children's literacy.

The purpose of the Readathon is to plant a love of reading in our children.

Spark a Lifelong Love of Reading: We transform reading from a task into a treasured, fun-filled activity. Positive, community-wide events create joyful associations with books that last a lifetime.
Supercharge Vocabulary & Comprehension: Regular reading aloud exposes children to a richer world of words. Children will be exposed to 1.8 million more words per year by reading for 20 minutes per day.
The Read-a-Thon promotes a love of reading and connects it to the science of reading.
